🎁 What Makes the Best Gifts?

When shopping for someone who already has everything, remember this simple rule:

The goal isn’t to impress them with the biggest gift. It’s to make them feel seen.

The presents people remember most are often the ones that:

  • Solve a small problem.
  • Make everyday life a little easier.
  • Create a special memory.
  • Reflect a favorite hobby.
  • Show you were thinking specifically about them.

Sometimes, the most meaningful gift isn’t something they’ll unwrap—it’s the time you’ll spend together.

🎄 Start Your Christmas Shopping Early

One of the biggest secrets to a stress-free Christmas is starting now.

Shopping throughout the year gives you time to:

  • Find unique gifts before they sell out.
  • Take advantage of seasonal sales.
  • Stay within your budget.
  • Avoid the holiday rush.
  • Enjoy the excitement instead of the stress.

By the time December arrives, you’ll already have thoughtful gifts tucked away and ready to wrap.

Christmas in July: Why You Should Start Christmas Shopping Right Now ⭐

July 1, 2026 by sista_h@hotmail.com Leave a Comment

🎄 Welcome to Christmas in July! Why July Is the Perfect Time to Start Planning Christmas

Who says Christmas only comes once a year?

If you’re anything like us, Christmas isn’t just a holiday—it’s a feeling. It’s the glow of twinkling lights, cozy blankets, the smell of fresh-baked cookies, Christmas movie marathons, and the excitement of finding the perfect gift for the people you love.

That’s exactly why we celebrate Christmas in July!

While most people are soaking up the summer sun, Christmas lovers know that July is actually one of the smartest—and most magical—times to start preparing for the most wonderful season of the year.

🎁 Why Start Planning Christmas in July?

1. You’ll Save Money

One of the biggest secrets to a stress-free Christmas is shopping early.

Instead of buying everything in November and December when prices are often higher, you can spread your purchases over several months. A gift or two each payday adds up quickly and makes December much less overwhelming.

2. Christmas Sales Start Surprisingly Early

You might be surprised to learn that many retailers celebrate Christmas in July with special promotions, early holiday collections, and festive merchandise.

Stores begin releasing ornaments, wrapping paper, holiday dĂŠcor, cozy pajamas, gift sets, and seasonal collectibles months before December arrives. Shopping early means you’ll often have the best selection before popular items sell out.

3. You’ll Have More Time to Find Meaningful Gifts

Rather than rushing through crowded stores during the holidays, you’ll have plenty of time to discover thoughtful presents that your family and friends will truly love.

No last-minute panic.
No shipping delays.
No settling for whatever happens to be left on the shelf.

4. Decorating Can Be More Fun

Christmas lovers know that planning is half the excitement.

July is the perfect time to:

  • Create a new Christmas decorating theme.
  • Collect ornaments throughout the year.
  • Plan your Christmas tablescape.
  • Refresh your wreaths and garlands.
  • Organize your holiday storage.

By the time December arrives, you’ll already have everything ready to go.

5. The Anticipation Is Part of the Magic

There is something special about looking forward to Christmas.

Watching your gift closet slowly fill.
Finding the perfect ornament.
Planning cookie recipes.
Making lists.
Dreaming about family traditions.

The countdown becomes part of the celebration itself.

🎄 Let’s Make This Christmas the Best One Yet

Here at Christmas Connoisseur, we’ll be celebrating Christmas in July all month long with:

✨ Gift guides
✨ Christmas decorating inspiration
✨ Holiday recipes
✨ Christmas travel ideas
✨ Shopping tips
✨ DIY projects
✨ Cozy Christmas traditions
✨ And plenty of Christmas magic!

Whether you’re already humming Christmas carols or simply looking for ways to make this year’s holiday less stressful, you’re in the right place.

So grab your favorite cold drink, turn on a Christmas playlist (we won’t judge!), and let’s start counting down to the most wonderful time of the year.

Merry Christmas… in July! 🎅🎄

❤️ We’d Love to Hear From You!

Organized Christmas 2026: June’s Goal — Plan Your Christmas Parties Early

June 17, 2026 by sista_h@hotmail.com

Christmas may still be months away, but June is actually the perfect time to start planning your holiday gatherings.

If you’ve ever found yourself scrambling for recipes, decorations, invitations, or last-minute party supplies in December, you know how stressful the season can become.

That’s why June’s Organized Christmas goal is simple:

Plan your Christmas parties now.

No, you don’t need to start decorating the tree or wrapping presents. But taking a little time this month to choose dates, themes, menus, and decor ideas can save you a tremendous amount of stress later.

Step 1: Choose Your Party Dates

Start by deciding which gatherings you’d like to host this year.

Some ideas include:

  • Family Christmas dinner
  • Cookie exchange
  • Christmas brunch
  • Ugly sweater party
  • Neighborhood open house
  • Ladies’ Christmas tea
  • Christmas movie night
  • Christmas Eve gathering

Mark tentative dates on your calendar now. The earlier you choose dates, the easier it will be for family and friends to reserve them before their holiday schedules fill up.

Step 2: Pick a Theme

A theme helps guide every other decision, from invitations to decorations and even the menu.

Consider themes such as:

  • Classic Red & Green Christmas
  • Winter Wonderland
  • Cozy Cabin Christmas
  • Gingerbread & Candy Cane
  • Elegant Gold & White
  • Vintage Christmas
  • Christmas Around the World
  • Christmas Pajama Party

Create a Pinterest board or save inspiration photos as you discover ideas throughout the summer.

Step 3: Start Planning Your Decor

You don’t need to buy everything right now, but June is a great time to make a decorating plan.

Ask yourself:

  • What decorations do I already own?
  • What needs replacing?
  • Are there any new pieces I’d like to add this year?
  • What centerpiece or table dĂŠcor ideas fit my theme?

Having a plan now allows you to spread purchases out over several months instead of making expensive last-minute shopping trips.

Step 4: Plan Your Menu

One of the biggest holiday stressors is deciding what to serve.

Take a few minutes this month to sketch out menu ideas for each gathering.

Think about:

  • Main dishes
  • Side dishes
  • Appetizers
  • Desserts
  • Drinks

You don’t need every detail finalized, but a rough plan now will make holiday preparations much smoother.

Step 5: Test New Recipes

This is where the fun begins.

Have a Christmas cookie recipe you’ve been wanting to try? A festive punch you’ve saved on Pinterest? A side dish you’re considering for Christmas dinner?

June is the perfect time to experiment.

Testing recipes now gives you plenty of opportunities to tweak ingredients, practice techniques, and decide whether they’re worthy of your holiday menu.

By December, you’ll already know exactly what works—and you’ll feel like a seasoned pro when serving your guests.

Your June Christmas Planning Checklist

☐ Decide which parties you’ll host

☐ Select tentative dates

☐ Choose a theme for each gathering

☐ Create a decor inspiration board

☐ Make a preliminary menu

☐ Test at least one new holiday recipe

☐ Start a Christmas party planning notebook or folder

Remember…

The goal isn’t to turn June into Christmas.

The goal is to give your future self a gift.

A little planning now means less stress, fewer rushed decisions, and more time to enjoy the magic of the season with family and friends when Christmas finally arrives.

Happy planning—and happy recipe testing!

🎄✨ Simple Tasks to Make December Calm, Cozy, and Magical

November 11, 2025 by sista_h@hotmail.com Leave a Comment

There’s a special kind of magic that happens when the air gets crisp, the lights start twinkling, and you know the holidays are just around the corner. But here’s the truth we all know too well…

Once December hits?
It gets busy. Fast.
School events. Work parties. Gift exchanges. Family gatherings.
Suddenly, your calendar looks like Santa’s flight path—packed from edge to edge.

But this year?
We’re doing Christmas differently.
We’re choosing calm.
We’re choosing cozy.
We’re choosing magic over chaos.

And it all starts with two simple November tasks:

🎁 1. Bring Out the Decorations Now (Yes… Now!)

I know, I know. Some people are waiting…
But if you are here, you are not “some people.”
We are Christmas lovers.
We decorate early on purpose.

Because decorating in November does three wonderful things:

  • Creates a cozy atmosphere sooner (hello, twinkle lights + cocoa!)
  • Eliminates the December rushing and holiday stress
  • Lets you actually enjoy your dĂŠcor longer — not just for two frantic weeks

Imagine it:
December rolling in.
You’re not climbing ladders, or untangling lights, or hunting down ornament hooks.
You’re already wrapped in the glow.

You’re free to:
✨ Watch Christmas movies
✨ Bake cookies
✨ Visit tree-lighting events
✨ Actually enjoy the season

Early decorating isn’t just festive.
It’s self-care.

📬 2. Send Out Your Party Invites This Month

Whether it’s:

  • A cookie exchange 🍪
  • A cocoa + movie night ☕
  • A big annual Christmas party 🎉
  • Or a simple, cozy gathering by the tree ✨

The secret to good attendance (and low stress) is sending your invitations in November.

Here’s why:
December calendars fill up fast.
Work parties, school concerts, family plans, church events — they all stack up quickly.

But when you send your invite early, you:
✅ Help your guests plan ahead
✅ Claim your spot on the holiday calendar
✅ Give everyone something magical to look forward to

Even a simple:
“Save the date — more details soon!”
makes a big difference.

Your loved ones will thank you.
Truly.

TaskWhy It MattersHow It Feels
Bring out decorations 🎄Reduces December stressLike stepping into your own Hallmark movie
Send out party invites 💌Helps guests plan + boosts attendanceThoughtful, organized, and joyful

🌟 Let’s Make This Christmas the Calm, Cozy, Magical One

Picture this:
December arrives.
Your lights are up.
Your home glows softly at night.
Your party is planned.
Your calendar has room for joy.

This is how we protect the magic.
This is how we make Christmas feel the way it used to.
This is how we savor the season.

And you deserve that.

If you loved this little nudge toward a calmer, cozier Christmas…
Share this post with your fellow Christmas lovers.
Let’s spread the magic together.

Why C Lazy U Ranch Is the Holiday Getaway Your Family Will Never Forget

November 8, 2025 by sista_h@hotmail.com

If Christmas had a scent, it would be pine trees, cinnamon cocoa, and fresh mountain air. At least — that’s what it smells like at C Lazy U Ranch in Colorado. Tucked into a snowy valley surrounded by rolling hills and evergreens, this century-old guest ranch is the kind of place that makes you stop, breathe in, and whisper, â€œThis is what Christmas is supposed to feel like.”

For families, grandparents treating the grandkids, couples craving slow magic — this is the destination Christmas that turns into a legacy memory.

It’s not just a trip.
It’s a story your family will tell forever.

It feels like stepping into a snow globe — the kind where time slows down and every moment feels intentional.

🎄 Why The End of September Is the Perfect Time for Family Christmas Pictures

September 28, 2025 by sista_h@hotmail.com

Family Christmas photos are more than just images—they’re keepsakes. They capture the love, laughter, and memories you want to treasure and share for years to come. Whether you’re planning to use them for holiday cards, gifts, or just to decorate your home, the timing of your photo session makes all the difference.

And believe it or not… the best time isn’t December. It’s the end of September or the beginning of October! Here’s why.

📸 1. Perfect Natural Lighting Before Daylight Savings Ends

In September and beginning of October, the days are still long, and natural light is abundant. Once Daylight Savings ends, the sun sets earlier, leaving fewer good hours for outdoor photos. Warm golden light in the late afternoon is flattering, cozy, and ideal for Christmas card photos.

🗓 2. Less Stress with Busy Holiday Schedules

By the time November and December roll around, calendars are jam-packed with school concerts, holiday parties, shopping, and travel. Scheduling a family photo session during those months can feel overwhelming. Taking your pictures in September means one major holiday task is already checked off your list.

🎁 3. Early Access for Cards and Gifts

When you have your pictures done in September or October, you’ll have plenty of time to design, print, and mail your holiday cards without feeling rushed. Plus, you’ll have beautiful photos ready to turn into personalized gifts—think calendars, mugs, or framed prints—for family and friends.

🍂 4. Beautiful Backdrops with Fall Colors

September and October provides the best of both worlds: crisp autumn leaves and cozy seasonal vibes that still pair beautifully with festive holiday outfits. You can dress in cozy sweaters, scarves, and boots for a timeless look that feels both autumnal and Christmas-ready.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 5. Happier Kids (and Parents!)

Kids (and adults!) are often more relaxed in September and October. The holiday rush hasn’t hit, school schedules are still finding their rhythm, and the weather is usually comfortable—not too hot, not too cold. This makes for easier smiles and more natural photos.

🌟 Final Thought: Make Christmas Easy on Yourself

Taking your Christmas pictures in September or October is the secret to a stress-free holiday season. You’ll have stunning photos, a head start on holiday cards and gifts, and one less thing to worry about when the festive season is in full swing.

So go ahead—schedule that photo session now. You’ll thank yourself when December arrives and all you have to do is sit back, sip cocoa, and enjoy the magic of Christmas. 🎄✨

🎄 Make August Your “Christmas Calendar Month” for a Stress-Free Holiday Season 🎄

August 14, 2025 by sista_h@hotmail.com

It might feel strange to talk about Christmas in the middle of summer, but here’s the truth—August is the perfect time to start planning.
Specifically, it’s the perfect time to pull out a calendar and schedule every single Christmas activity you want to do.

Why? Because the holidays sneak up faster than Santa sliding down the chimney. Before you know it, you’ll be juggling baking, shopping, decorating, parties, travel, and all the little extras you swore you’d remember… but didn’t.

The Power of Putting It on the Calendar

A written list is like a snow globe — it keeps the magic intact until you’re ready to shake it up.

A mental list is like snow—it melts away when things heat up.
A written list, on the other hand, is like a snow globe—it keeps the magic intact until you’re ready to shake it up.

When you write Christmas plans down in August:

  • You lock in your priorities. The things you truly care about—like your annual cookie-baking day or neighborhood light tour—won’t get lost in the shuffle.
  • You can spread out the workload. Space out shopping, crafting, and decorating so you’re not buried in a blizzard of to-dos all at once.
  • You avoid schedule conflicts. If you want to attend your cousin’s holiday concert, you won’t find out too late that it’s the same night as your office party.

How to Plan Ahead in August

  1. Pick Your Calendar. Digital, paper, or a big wall planner—choose what works best for you and your family.
  2. Mark the Non-Negotiables First. These are the events, traditions, and commitments you don’t want to miss.
  3. Add in Prep Deadlines. Want cards mailed by December 5th? Gifts wrapped by the 20th? Put those deadlines in now.
  4. Schedule the Fun Extras. Things like Christmas movie nights, holiday markets, or baking sessions—yes, even those deserve a date.
  5. Leave Buffer Days. Life happens. Leaving some wiggle room keeps the season merry, not maddening.

The Payoff: An Organized, Joy-Filled Christmas

When December arrives, you won’t be scrambling—you’ll be savoring.
You’ll have time to sip cocoa by the fire instead of rushing through the mall at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
And best of all? You’ll create space for the moments that truly matter—time with the people you love.

So grab your calendar this August, make some frozen hot chocolate, and start penciling in the magic.
Come December, you’ll thank yourself for turning “organized” into your new favorite holiday tradition.

June’s Goal: Plan Christmas Parties

June 21, 2025 by sista_h@hotmail.com

🌲❤️🌲The goal for this month is to plan your Christmas parties. Why make plans for your parties now? There are alot of stores that celebrate “Christmas in July” and start selling Christmas decor and even food starting in July. QVC, for example, is wasting no time and starting the shopping early on June 22.

Tips For Planning An Unforgettable Christmas Party

🌲❤️🌲When you’re the one hosting a Christmas party, you want it to be memorable. Even if you have a small budget, if you focus on nailing these 4 areas, you’re going to have a magical Christmas party:

  • MUSIC
  • LIGHTING
  • FOOD
  • SCENT

MUSIC

Music is the MOST important element when it comes to a memorable Christmas party. It should be the first thing your guests hear when they enter your party. It sets the tone and tells everyone “It’s Christmas time in here!”. It could be 115 degrees outside but the second your guests hear Christmas music, it will make them feel like they’ve been transported to some wintry destination.

LIGHTING

Lighting is the next very important element when it comes to creating the perfect environment for a magical Christmas party. Depending on what mood you’re going for, the type and amount of lighting you choose will help you achieve the perfect atmosphere.

Lighting can be as simple as turning down the lights and just having the lights from your Christmas tree and candles on the tables.

If you are planning a party for a large space, then hanging lights overhead adds a special touch. If you’re going for a traditional or modern theme, then I recommend the traditional string lights. However, if you’re going for a farmhouse or country theme, then I recommend hanging patio lights. Either one will make you feel like you’ve stepped on the set of a small town Christmas movie.

One of my favorite items to have when it comes to lighting (besides Christmas trees) is lanterns. They are so versatile and you can put flameless candles or even fairy lights in them. You can add toppers, like ribbon, to match the theme of your party. Whether it’s a modern, traditional, farmhouse theme, etc., you can add small touches to your lanterns to match any theme.

FOOD

The next very important element of planning a memorable Christmas party is the food. You want to make sure you have great food for your party. Your guests will remember the food!

Here are some ideas for what you may want to serve at your party:

  • Appetizers
  • Desserts
  • Appetizers & Desserts
  • Dinner

If you want to make things really easy, you could ask your quests to bring their favorite Christmas treat or appetizer. I’ve done that many times for my “Christmas in July” parties and I’m always amazed at the creative and delicious Christmas treats people bring.

SCENT

The last, but not least, important element to a memorable Christmas party is the scent that envelops your guests as they enter your party. It will immediately transport them to someplace magical and wintry.

Here are my absolute favorites when it comes to Christmas scents:

🌲Christmas Tree – by Just Jill Shop

🌲White Birch – by Homeworx

🌲Frozen Balsam – by Homeworx

🌲Frasier Fir – by Thymes

🌲Shawn’s Making Spirits Spice – by Homeworx
